PGP Encryption Software for the IBM i
ARP-GPG is a native implementation of OpenPGP for the IBM i. Unlike other products offered for the IBM i, ARP-GPG truly runs natively and does not require the use of extra hardware, IBM APIs or feature codes or even your PASE environment. ARP-GPG can be purchased as a stand alone point solution and doesn't require the purchase of other products such as SFTP or email client software. Its sophisticated design provides all of the features needed for a proper implementation of PGP encryption on the IBM i. Whether you’re using ARP-GPG to secure sensitive data at rest or to secure files for data transfers its native interface will make implementations quite easy.
ARP-GPG has its own key manager. Create RSA or DSA keys or import keys directly. You can also securely archive private keys. The key manager tracks expiry dates and notifies you of expiration issues. The software even supports multiple private keys which can be useful when dealing with corporations with multiple divisions and entities.
ARP-GPG is interoperable with many other PGP and GPG software products. Because ARP-GPG was built to address different versions of OPEN PGP you also can specify which version of Open PGP your partner has when encrypting data for them.
A suite of CL commands are provided to support PGP encrypting and decrypting of any types of files on the IBM i. This makes it easy to fully automate encryption processes and to monitor for unexpected results. The command driven interface makes it ideal to integrate with ANY Arpeggio CONNECT product seamlessly.
ARP-GPG provides unmatched logging. It is the only software product for the IBM that offers enterprise grade logging of PGP related events directly to QAUDJRN. Secure access control of keys is provided making it possible to lock down the user profile that is running a job to only be allowed to use a key. These security features enable ARP-GPG to comply with the latest PCI, HIPAA, SOX, DFARS , GDPR and GLBA requirements for monitoring encryption and decryption events.
