Arpeggio Software releases ARP-SAVE Secure Backup Software for the IBM i

Atlanta, GA – February 5, 2013 – Arpeggio Software, a provider of security software solutions for the IBM i announced the release of ARP-SAVE, a native IBM i software solution for encrypting backups.  ARP-SAVE is a software solution that can encrypt and save IBM i data and system objects as well as manage the restoration of secured backups.   ARP-SAVE provides a security layer on top of the existing IBM SAVE and RESTORE commands which means it can implemented very quickly and with minimal process changes for any organization.  

ARP-SAVE is comprised of a Security Profile Manager and a set of CL commands that can be used in place of your existing IBM save and restore commands in your backup proceses.   The product supports every existing IBM save and restore command and literally wraps additional parameters for compression and AES encryption around the IBM commands.   ARP-SAVE's Security Profile Manager allows you to restore encrypted data and objects onto the same system where the save was performed, or onto another machine running ARP-SAVE with a properly configured ARP-SAVE security profile.
