Arpeggio Software Announces the release of SIFT-IT Free Edition
Atlanta, GA - November 1, 2011 – Arpeggio Software, a provider of security software solutions for the IBM i today announced the release of SIFT-IT Free Edition.
The SIFT-IT family of software enables companies to monitor their system i for events and take action in real time. SIFT-IT’s granular filtering capabilities make it possible for companies to detect any threats and all types of security, data or process events. When events occur, conditional rules can be created to trigger user processes or invoke enterprise auditing processes automatically including integrating IBM i logs with syslog and SIEM servers.

From a data perspective they wanted to know when certain files were created in specific IFS directories. Almost every customer said they need to set rules around how they monitor activities in various libraries and folders and be able to treat them uniquely. ” He also adds, “In every case our customers wanted to know about it in real time and be able to trigger alerts, start remediation processes and initiate secure logging to archive the events.”
